Welcome to the first week of November, hope you enjoyed all the Halloween offerings last week and now our return to more traditional programming.

As last week was dominated by horror so understandably my comedy only listeners were a little bummed out. Therefore I ramped up the funny stuff a little more for this week and also lots of westerns; Gunsmoke, Fort Laramie, Have Gun Will Travel, The Six Shooter

Some great birthday tributes this week led by Shirley Mitchell’s 94th (CBS Radio Workshop, Let George Do It, Alice Darling on Fibber McGee & Molly, Leila Ransom on The Great Gildersleeve); Joel McCrea (Two Hours of Tales Of The Texas Rangers); Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers Show, G.I. Journal, Bob Hope Show); June Havoc – Centennial Celebration(Suspense – Eve aka The Black Angel); Art Carney (The Big Story, The Mysterious Traveler) and Producer/Director Norman McDonnell (Gunsmoke, Fort Laramie, Philip Marlowe.…)

The Halloween shows went on soooooo long. I am glad they are over. It was too much. Why so few westerns and detective programs? Love Dragnet and Gunsmoke. Why don’t you have any children’s programs? I remember Saturday kids shows. What happened to them?

Hi Greg, the only problem I have with comedy shows is: I’m old enough to remember them when the were live on TV and radio. They don’t bother me and Phil Harris and Alice fay are very funny. Keep up the good work and I know you can’t please all of the people all of the time but you are very close to doing so. Channel 82 is the only channel I listen to since they took off 244. Lee
