If you haven’t grabbed it yet, the new weekly schedule can be found by clicking to see Full Story & Pictures and then the following link; ShowSchedules

Before I detail the week, a correction. Last week I mentioned I am hosting the 2nd Annual Radio Spirits Sea Cruise which sails from Port Canaveral Florida on August 10th, 2014 for a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. But I initially listed the wrong Royal Caribbean ship. Oops! It is Freedom Of The Seas. Anyway, here once again is the direct link to the website http://www.cruisingwithgregbell.com/  and you can always give Larry a call to learn more and to hold your cabin 800-269-2127.

Okay for the week of the 8th through the 14th, we’ll have birthday tributes for Edmond O’Brien (Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar; Suspense); Claudette Colbert (Lux Radio Theater; guest on Bergen & McCarthy Show); author O.Henry (creator of The Cisco Kid); Frank Cady (Sam Drucker on TV’s Petticoat Junction and Green Acres featured on a couple from Gunsmoke) writer Walter B. Gibson (The Shadow, Nick Carter, Blackstone The Magic Detective) plus a couple early birthday specials for Tom Conway (Sherlock Holmes) and Peggy Webber (The Whistler, Richard Diamond, The Saint).

Additional new to the channel this week episodes from The Damon Runyon Theater, Gunsmoke, Our Miss Brooks, Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, Candy Matson, Phil Harris & Alice Faye, The CBS Radio Workshop, Suspense, The Whistler, Baby Snooks, Mystery Is My Hobby

Is anybody having a problem receiving the signal for channel 82? I leave in Tucson AZ and the signal arrives intermittently and sometimes during the intervals I hear a “Stephen Hawking ” mechanical voice that is indecipherable until finally it goes back to the XM Preview channel. It’s driving me nuts! I’ve called twice and they refresh the signal but it doesn’t help. The other channels come through just fine. Is it just me? Any ideas?
