Building Toward The Oscars with a number of Academy Award nominated and winning films and performers. As we do every year ahead of the ceremony, this week has an Oscar theme including a number of new to the channel episodes.

We have Bette Davis & Spencer Tracy in Lux Radio Theater’s “Dark Victory”; Ginger Rogers in Academy Award Theater’s “Kitty Foyle”; William Powell in Academy Award Theater’s “My Man Godfrey” and Charles Laughton in Academy Award Theater’s “Ruggles Of Red Gap”

We also bring back radio adaptations of the following Best Picture Winners; “It Happened One Night”, “Going My Way” and “The Best Years Of Our Lives”

Birthday week tributes for Gale Gordon, Robert Young, Sheldon Leonard, Adolphe Menjou, Alonzo Deen Cole and Staats Cosworth (not only as Casey, Crime Photographer but featured in a “don’t miss” two-part new to the channel CBS Radio Workshop and the science fiction script, “The Space Merchants”).

Additional new to the channel offerings from The Whistler, The Shadow, The Great Gildersleeve, Let George Do It, Have Gun Will Travel, Suspense, The Witch’s Tale, Murder at Midnight, Nick Carter Master Detective and more.
