Lots of new to the channel stuff coming up this week. First of all a reminder;

Taking A Cruise, Wanna Join Me?  Next June we are going to try something different – A classic radio cruise to Bermuda – It departs the New York City area (Cape Liberty, NJ) on June 22nd, 2013 and includes a couple of days at sea and a couple days in Bermuda.

It will feature old-time radio show discussions, trivia contests, and re-creations of radio plays live on stage. Ones you can participate in if you like, with microphones, scripts and live sound effects.  To learn more about joining me on the cruise next June check out the special website http://www.cruisingwithgregbell.com/ or contact Larry Schwartz at 800-269-2127 Ext 2

If you are interested we need to know so we can secure cabins, venues, etc.

Okay as promised lots of new stuff on the channel this week – headlined by “new” episodes as part of birthday week tributes for Lucille Ball (Screen Director’s Playhouse); Parley Baer (Gunsmoke, Suspense); David Brian (Mr. District Attorney); Stan Freberg and Lloyd Nolan (Suspense). We also mark the birthdays of Robert Mitchum (Suspense); Jackie Kelk (The Aldrich Family); director Robert Siodmak (Screen Director’s Playhouse-The Spiral Staircase) and more.

Additional new to the channel shows from Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar; The Weird Circle; Our Miss Brooks; Jack Benny Program; Phil Harris & Alice Faye; The Whistler; Suspense; Let George Do It, The Screen Director’s Playhouse and more.

    1. Comedies are very popular and your ratio is off there James. I play 2/3 non-comedy to 1/3 comedy each week, so any one should complain about “not enough of something”, it would clearly be the comedy fans. Sorry. Greg

  1. Hi Greg, while doing some research i found a Y T J D that i wanted to ask you about
    The Phantom Chase Matter 15 – 26 Oct. 1956 i found that this is a 9 part show and i was wondering if you could ever work it in if not on the regular program maybe on when radio was. Tommy

    1. I think they are going to share it with me, I have no idea how I am going to play it, but somehow I guess.

  2. Just received YTJD many voices CD’s. The program guide info insert is so informative with lots of insider stuff. If the programs are near as good, I am in for a treat.
