The birthday tributes are led by our annual special for former child superstar Shirley Temple as we bring back her performance alongside Cary Grant in <em>Lux Radio Theater's</em> version of the 1947 comedy motion picture - "The Bachelor & The Bobby-Soxer" with Shirley Mitchell joining them in the radio cast in place of their big screen co-star, Myrna Loy.
This week we have a double tribute as we mark the 81st anniversary of the national radio debut of Fibber McGee & Molly (April 16th, 1935) plus celebrate the birthday of Molly actress, Marian Jordan (Born April 15th, 1898).
This week marks the return of Major League Baseball so on the channel we are presenting multiple baseball themed comedies and dramas including Lux Radio Theater's "Pride Of The Yankees", The Mutual Radio Theater's "The Baseball Announcer", Destination Freedom's "Ballad Of Satchel Paige" plus various Hall Of Famers visiting variety shows. We have Dizzy Dean and Babe Ruth on The Bob Hope Show, Bob Feller on The Jack Benny Program, Ted Williams and Casey Stengel on Bill Stern's Sports Newsreel and, of course, Abbott & Costello's "Who's On First" will be featured.
